The Education Committee develops and sustains short and long-range programs for the County business community in support of high quality elementary, secondary and higher education. Programs include educational statements, college/business partnerships, scholarship support and cooperative education programs.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce is excited to present a new Professional Development Scholarship program for Sussex County Chamber member businesses and their employees.
Scholarship consideration will be given for courses, conferences, webinars, and other educational programs providing additional skills and training for employees.
While this type of training or coursework is optional for some trades and professions, others require it to maintain status, certification, or licensure.
Scholarships are for tuition and training only. The awards will be used to further each recipient's education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school/program/training that will result in enhancing the recipient's education and marketability in the business community. Lodging, food, transportation and miscellaneous fees are not covered.

About the Scholarships: Five scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year will be awarded to Sussex County residents. Funding for the Scholarships: Funding for the scholarships comes from Sussex County Chamber of Commerce’s events. Applications: Scholarship applications for the 2020/2021 school year will be available January 2020. Applications will be available on the Chamber website and at the Chamber office (inside the Chase Bank Building) at 120 Hampton House Road or by calling the Chamber office at 973-579-1811.
