Our mission is to assist new businesses arrive and thrive in our local economy. We also assist our existing companies to achieve expansion goals. These efforts not only increase our economic base, but also employ many local residents.
The SCEDP is a non-profit organization and an excellent example of the collaborative effort of a public-private partnership. It is funded through private investors and public funds. The private investors who invest with us do not receive a direct return on their investment as they would by purchasing stocks or bonds, but rather an indirect return as we all receive by making our County a better place to live and earn our living.
