County GIS

Sussex County's Geographic Information System, better know as GIS, is a combination of computer hardware, software and geographic data used to perform data capturing, analysis, cartographic map display and production. The Sussex County GIS contains extensive information about all parcels of land in Sussex County's 24 municipalities including land use, municipal planning and zoning, regulated boundaries, environmental buffers, road networks and tax information. GIS is commonly used for resource and asset management, environmental impact assessment and property ownership information. It is also very useful as a tool for companies interested in locating a new business or taking advantage of a previously underserved market.
