The Chamber will present a Zoom seminar on indoor air quality with Dr. Jon H. Connolly, President of Sussex County Community College on Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 AM via ZOOM. Dr. Connolly holds a PhD in biological science.
This program is intended to educate businesses about the best practices to date to manage air quality so that the indoor service economy can resume without controversy, and with safety. The inevitable changes in HVAC standards and specifications will also be discussed.
There is NO CHARGE for Chamber members. We are asking NON-MEMBERS for a modest fee of $20 to participate.
Please RSVP to mail@sussexcountychamber.org to attend no later than Monday, September 28. We will send the ZOOM link to registered participants on September 30 to receive the ZOOM link.
Important to note:
On March 17th 2020, a report from Skagit County Washington heralded what we now know unequivocally about SARS-CoV -2, the virus that causes the disease COVID-19: This corona virus is transmitted through the air. Even though this information has been available since the middle of March, there has been little attention paid to how adjustments need to be made in better ventilating indoor air, in order to get the business economy back to a more normal state.
Critical to our economic health is ensuring people’s safety while indoor enterprises can continue to deliver their services. The indoor hospitality and entertainment industries has been among the hardest hit, as have churches and indoor athletic events.
