Announces Scholarship Winners
Four area high school students were the recipients of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce scholarships for the 2016-2017 school year. The scholarships will be used to further each recipient’s education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school.
Shawn Huynh of Sussex County Technical School received a $1,000.00 scholarship. Kerri McSweeney (Kittatinny Regional High School), Dennis Phan (Sussex County technical School), and Jaida Schettino (Sparta High School) each received a $500.00 scholarships. The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce also contributed $1,000 to the Sussex County Community College Foundation to be awarded to area students attending that college.
Funds for the scholarships are raised through various Sussex County Chamber events including Sussex County Day held each year at the beginning of May.
Scholarship applications for 2017-2018 will be available in early 2017.
